That seems like it misses the point.

I'm a secular atheist. I don't think that theism or any religion is correct.

Hence, when judging the truth of religion, I have a predictably negative judgement.

However, when judging the politics and morality of religion, everything becomes more complicated and nuanced.

When making political and moral judgements about religion, it has to be borne in mind that scripture has a tenuous link to religious practice. That's a slightly odd thing for a religious person to fully concede, but it is entirely on-point and on-topic for atheist judgements of religious -behaviour- rather than a merely academic and intellectual judgement of their -beliefs-.
