A house of sand. That does feel right.

I'll bet a thousand dollars that someone looked at this, assumed that they were all "middle eastern" and not Indian, and went on a rant about Arabs and/or Muslims.

Is this real or is it photoshopped?

I just don't understand why a bunch of Sikhs would be grouped around a sand sculpture of the WTC being crashed into by a plane. But I can easily imagine someone who thinks anyone wearing a turban is a turrurrist using this picture as the background for a photoshop of such.

What I'm saying is, if the sculpture is real, I am very skeptical about the "audience."

What is 9/11 to them? ....

Knock knock?

Who's there?

9/11.

9/11 who?

You said you'd never forget!

Indians are kinda mid-eastern. Those same people think of eastern as japanese/chinese/korean.

Indians look more like arabs than they look like japs. (to the Larry the cable guy, crowd)

edit for spelling

I can't figure out the picture either. One woman is clearly Hindu. Unless they're Americans paying tribute. Why sand? Why only one building? Is it the plane that flew into the single building in Florida in the year after 9/11 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_Tampa_plane_crash)?

Because it's not clear at all. The whole thing is more WTF---ish.

I was wondering why a bunch of Punjabis (I guess) were standing behind an ornate sand sculpture. But after reading comments, I looked back at the image, and I think it's just a composite of two totally unrelated photos.

Maybe it was just some sandcastle building event and someone chose 9/11 as their topic?

Seems a good call. Shame the folk who 'shopped this didn't get the difference...or maybe they did. :)

Back just long enough to comment on everyone's ignorance regarding this horribly racist photoshopped pic. The people pictured are mostly from India. The men in turbans are Indian Sikhs. The woman on the left is wearing an outfit typical in Kashmir, India.

I lived in India for two yeas as a child. This 'shopped photo is disgraceful and extremely offensive.

As for Indians being "kinda, sorta" middle Eastern, I'm assuming that you're referring to those Indians who are moghuls, who are typically moslem, but not always. The darker Indians are typically Dravidians.

Okay, I'm done, I'll be leaving again now.
