Insurance companies are private enterprises - if they want to cover something - great, if not - that is their business - do not force them.

Then what's the point of having medical insurance at all?

The point is for the consumer to go and get an insurance that she needs. She/he wants to cover contraception only - get Ins A, she/he wants a cover for accidents - get Ins B, and so on...

Why is contraception excluded from general insurance? That's as legitimate a need as any other medical treatment that should be covered through insurance.

Most people who are interested in this issue have done more than listen to Rush spew his drug-addled nonsense.

Ovarian cysts are not rare. Endometriosis is not rare. I know exactly how not rare they are because I can actually read and comprehend something as sophisticated as, well, Wikipedia, or even WebMD. You, on the other hand, apparently think that if you say something with force that will make it true. Sorry, facts don't work that way.
