You're pretty ignorant as far as this topic is concerned if the full breadth of your knowledge on why women need birth control is so they can "have fun."

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, yeah, you are so educated. You know that birth control isn't for birth control.

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
For a lot of people, it isn't. Are you really unaware of this?

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Only you are aware of everything. The condition you are talking about is pretty rare and most of insurances cover it.

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
pretty rare

No it isn't.

most insurances cover it

Then you agree that they should.

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Then you agree that they should.

No, I don't. Who am I to decide how a private company should conduct its business?

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
I guess, then, that I don't understand what you meant with the point that "most insurances cover it." Could you clarify please?

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
Insurance companies are private enterprises - if they want to cover something - great, if not - that is their business - do not force them.

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Then what's the point of having medical insurance at all?

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
The point is for the consumer to go and get an insurance that she needs. She/he wants to cover contraception only - get Ins A, she/he wants a cover for accidents - get Ins B, and so on...

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Why is contraception excluded from general insurance? That's as legitimate a need as any other medical treatment that should be covered through insurance.

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
One more time - they should be able to cover and not to cover whatever they want. You don't get to tell them what to do! You do not tell Italian restaurant to make you a burrito, and sue them if they refuse.

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Incorrect, if in that particular set (e.g. country) women never ever eat breadsticks.

Most people who are interested in this issue have done more than listen to Rush spew his drug-addled nonsense.

Ovarian cysts are not rare. Endometriosis is not rare. I know exactly how not rare they are because I can actually read and comprehend something as sophisticated as, well, Wikipedia, or even WebMD. You, on the other hand, apparently think that if you say something with force that will make it true. Sorry, facts don't work that way. You can't just pull bullshit out of your ass and not think it won't smell. And the smell factor is off the charts tonight in your posts.

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
I do not reply to rude people. Don't bother.

[identity profile] wind-shadow2008.livejournal.com 2014-07-01 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Ironic, considering your other comments on this posts have been so rude to a) the other commenters and b) the population of women who use birth control.

[identity profile] telemann.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
I hope everyone here is rude to you then.

[identity profile] madam-shapo.livejournal.com 2014-07-02 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
What you worried about? I very seldom reply to you anyway and only because do not want to hurt your feelings. Now I am not obligated anymore.

What [are] you worried about? I very seldom reply to you anyway[,] and only because [ I ] do not want to hurt your feelings. Now I am not obligated [ to respond ] anymore.

Please, don't flatter yourself; and who said I was complaining about a lack of comments from an ignorant troll? It's a blessing. But my original sentiment still stands though :-)
