Amy's Baking Company was comedy gold though. Favorite episode though I have a foodie friend here in LA who says the Burger Kitchen rivals it for family dysfunction. The idiot father reverted all of Gordon's changes and the place is closed. Way to lose your son's trust fund, idiot!
but amy baking componey is just...nothing can beat that. i dont think ive seen the burger kitchen, but im not shocked. alot of people often reveret. alot of restrants go bust anyway. kitchen nightmares is better then some
i appricated that the hotel series he did mentioend it status at the time of airing (tho it did, to my other halfs consternation, feture ramsays ass, every episode)
Burger Kitchen is a sad story of how dad was the executor of his son's trust fund account and decided to put a huge chunk of it into the restaurant without telling the son until later. So the whole family worked at the place. Shipped in frozen Australian wagyu beef that never cooked right.
Later, Gordon tried to give them signature burgers which lasted all of two weeks before dad decided to throw it out in favor of having people pick toppings. And then they would ding patrons for dipping sauces for fries, etc. It was a wash.
Amy's Baking Kitchen is a riot on yelp. Reviews are either 5 stars or completely shitty. So, they're busy creating fake accounts to boost reviews. Other than their bought-in desserts, the food remains unsuitable for humans or cats. Meow, meow, meow!
