Nice, in a brutal sort of way.

This hits home more:

Somebody really likes their kitty?

Americans are big pet people, no?

They have Breakfast Entrees for cats now. At this point, we're just trolling the hungry of the world by having Friskies omelets for pets.

I laughed like hell at the ads for those. C'mon, now!

This is how cats get overweight.

I thought it was from snoozing all day
on the patio furniture.

That too...

Seriously, though, it's perfectly normal for a cat to sleep eighteen hours a day. But some of them just don't know when to stop eating. *insert when-your-cat-needs-to-go-on-a-diet PSA*

In the US, the horse would be over there with that cat (as far as being treated like a pet, rather than food). Probably the donkey, too. Eating anything equine = BIG TABOO over here. (I don't explain these things, I just report 'em!)

I knew the horse readily makes it into the pet category,
but I also thought that they do make it into our pet food.

I vaguely recall, back in the 1970s, that there was some
movement afoot for people to start eating horsemeat as well,
but that it never took off.
