Bachman was on the Beeb's News claiming moral victory and there was serious discussion as to who came out worse: the Tea Partiers or Obama.
This has damaged the USA. However, the Beeb's interviewer didn't mention the number of times which the Tea Party folk have tried to change a law that was voted upon by the whole population in a plebiscite wherein the incumbent campaigned for re-election on the very issue, and which was subsequently ruled Constitutional by SCOTUS.
I thought better of the BBC: some context would perhaps have been in order.
