You know, EVERY time my mother was deployed, in Desert strike, Desert Storm, and early in the war, she made wills and gave my sister and I goodbyes. Why is that so odd? Always she worried This would be the time she was sent out not to come back. Every time she made sure my sis and I would be able to deal with her things and move on...
Why is it so weird that a young gi, with a younger family, would do the same?
My husband had a will drawn up free while he was in the military when he was sent to Afghanistan. I think it's common for them to do it, and he was only 21 at the time.
It's not at all but I'm going on what the family has said-that the way they said their goodbyes was in a way they knew they probably weren't coming home. Alone it doesn't seem like a big deal but with the timing and circumstances it definitely makes me wonder.
