I'm all for small government... but not in the places they want it to be. I'm all for reducing government spending too... but not in the areas they want it reduced in.

Heh, I think that is about as succinct and to the point as I've seen it put. The Church-State thing is perhaps our biggest tug of war going on. Well, that and class: the 1% and the 99% as we term it lately.
