If you search for and read the whole essay (or rant), he goes into why the failure of comic companies to properly appeal to new youngsters via the print medium is killing the industry as a whole and how the Continuity Fanboy brought this to pass. However, this was written in 2000 or 2001, long before the movies came out and at the end of the 1990s Awful Age of Comics. The Continuity Cop is no longer king of the franchises...
