What I mean is Native Americans can and did go to war with each other, kill, pillage, and rape each other long before the settlers arrived. And some of them even did it on an approximate scale as the settlers- the Aztec, for example, had a nasty habit of dragging entire villages of conquered tribes off to meet Tlaloc or whoever. European conquerors were much, much worse, sure, but like I said: don't pretend that the Native Americans were some sort of innocent, noble savages before Columbus and Cortez and all the others. Human beings are rotten individuals no matter where or when you go.
