Fact: Minimum Wage Won't Even Get You Rent



Addition: Before you say "Oh hey, in a month at minimum wage, I get 160 hours.", keep in mind that cost of housing should never be more than 20-30% of your monthly income.

Financial planners have said from the beginning of the modern age that housing costs should never be more than 25% of your pre-tax income. Never. It can be almost impossible to put money away if it's over 35%.
