I've listened to him since the 1990's and been following his career.

Keynote at CPAC. Michael Steele being told to apologize.
Check out the list of notable guests here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rush_Limbaugh_Show).

Presidents don't go on Michael Savage's show.

Ever think it's because he reaches millions that they go on there, not because he somehow represents conservative thought?

Lets review. The biggest most powerful established leaders in the conservative arena regularly appear on Rush's show to impart their ideas to millions.

In this way, "The Rush Limbaugh Show" represents conservative thought.

That doesn't make sense, sorry.

Ratings don't tell us a thing about who he speaks for.

That's my point, they do.his.show because he has huge ratings.

Sorry?

[identity profile] yes-justice.livejournal.com 2012-03-06 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
No worries.

A show where all the most powerful conservative leaders regular appear to get their conservative message out to millions of conservatives DOES NOT represent conservative thought. That makes total sense.

What do you think represents conservative thought, if not The Rush Limbaugh show?

You persist with this idea that different conservatives ought to be able to freely pool resources, use each other's media platforms, work collaboratively in the propaganda war, but remain strictly independent and separate when it comes to calling out unacceptable rhetoric. It's as if you think you can huddle together with pigs for warmth, then walk away without any mud on you.

Where was this attitude back when everyone was talking about Obama's preacher friend?
