Saying Ann Coulter is a vile, ignorant asshole is like saying the sky is blue. Sadly, the media still treats her like she's got something legitimate to say and, of course, conservatives love her because she says the things they're afraid to say.
I can't say with 100% absolute certainty that he's guilty or innocent, very few people know the answer to that question, what I do know is that there's nowhere near enough evidence to go ahead with an execution. The eyewitnesses have recanted, and there's no physical evidence against him, they can't bring him back to life now that they've killed him. This should be enough reason to wait for certainty. Unfortunately, the state didn't seem to mind murdering a man whose guilt was uncertain.
This is exactly the sort of thing that changed my mind from "both parties are bad" to Well, one party is kind of bad, but the other party is evil. Like, they should have a volcano lair and a shark tank evil. So evil that they'd kill a man they thought might deserve it, without caring if there's any doubt to that, and then gloat afterwards with a childish rhyme.
Got to give that cunt credit, she is second only to the Westboro trolls in not breaking character, and she's easily the most successful one.
And lest anyone try to claim she's not trolling, here's a woman who allegedly hates the government and doesn't trust it at all because it's inefficient and distorts incentive structures and has systemic flaws and all that shit, right? Yet, these same people she doesn't trust to oversee food safety and educate kids, she trusts without any doubts at all to conduct murderous foreign policy and to execute domestics? No. Sorry. I've got nothing against trolling, as most of you know, and it's fun when it's not harmful, but her trolling isn't about frustrating people or teasing them -- her trolling is about emotionally abusing people, and that's evil. Her death can't come quickly enough.

I think the issue is less about him being definitely innocent and more about the courts just refusing to acknowledge reasonable doubt.

That right there is why I was drinking last night - I just can't take malevolence of that magnitude sometimes. It sickens me to know there are people like her out there, and being LISTENED TO as though they had something worthwhile to say at that.
