Most of the repud line on Ashcanistan willfully ignores the fate of the British and Russians before. Other empires have tried, banked everything, and been broiken by the place. I'm sure if McCain was in office we'd still be in Iraq, but Afghanistan would be no better than it is today. He'd probably be mulling the draft at this point.

The place doesn't work well as a state, but works great as a font for family values. You cannot beat that with a war of attrition.
