i read somewhere that sept 11, 1921 was the day that the league of nations officially divided the ottoman empire up into arbitrary, multiethnic "countries".
i bet that was fun. does he have an lj, then?
I blame that on lack of alcohol.
Well
latuff has been deleted and purged, but I can't remember if he went by that or a different name.
I don't think he got into it in the comments much, but I could be wrong. But from how I remember it he'd post one of his cartoons and the whole rest of the comm would go crazy arguing about it.

Bin Laden said the attack was to get America out of the Holy Land. We had a few bases in Saudi at the time and we supported Israel too much. Because of the 9/11 attacks, well as a consequence of them, the U.S. invaded Iraq and Afganistan and maybe Iran is next. But Bin Laden said he wanted to make us bleed financially. A trillon dollars later, you could say it almost worked. Butas a New Yorker I suppose that makes me disagree with the spirt of this cartoon. I'm silly sentimental guy like that, I suppose.

About as well as it worked for the Romans.
We shouldn't have any military bases outside of the US unless the people of that country want us there so bad they're willing to pay for us to be there.
Saudi wanted us there after Saddam invaded Kuwait and we were enforcing the UN no fly zones over Iraq, remember?
just went to his deviant art site. too bad he's not around here any more.
We shouldn't have stopped Iraq from defending their oil fields from the Kuwaitis who where diagonally drilling to get at them.
they also paid for a good chunk of bush war I.
lol. we told saddam to go ahead and attack. we just wanted an excuse to kill half of his 4 million man army.
"We" didn't stop them. The United Nations did.
if you guys think lather is bad, you should have seen the days of megiloth
as silly of a ninny as lather is, at least he doesn't gleefully post pictures of blown up iraqis

Haha, I used to be LJ-friends with him. He was funny sometimes, but then the whole being a huge racist thing kinda got to me after awhile, you know?
They broke ground on the Pentagon on September 11, 1941.
he couldn't take the heat around here.
What's strange is I was thinking this morning while going to work that I wanted to post some Latuff.
