Well we could leave Afghanistan as is, let Pakistan fall, and see if Pakistan's nuclear warheads accelerate the peace process as and when they appear on the terrorist weapons market....

Staving off chaos is a fairly good approximation to keeping the peace. And everyone's on board now, or if not quite everyone, at least a more inter-cooperative United Nations. Which is another win, I feel.
