Be straight with us. You draw these, don't you?

[identity profile] pragmatic-chimp.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
People who can't draw shouldn't.

Is that a demented butterfly or Obama's head? I can't tell.

Nope. This time in Bush's term was a relatively uneventful period. Cheney had already rigged the energy markets in secret meetings (or whatever he did, its still classified who attended or what was said). No Child Left behind was, at the time, a refreshing departure from the Republican playbook.

What hagiographers such as yourself fail to recognize is that Bush had eight years to earn our scorn. He had a past as a fairly competent Texas governor, and had run on a platform of compassionate conservatism. So we cut him a little slack. Certainly all the people who voted for Nader welcomed him as their elected president.

But you, and others like you, have done everything in your power to discredit the man at every turn, form the beginning of the campaign to now. You learned this trick from Rove. The eternal campaign. Leading the nation and working together as Americans is pointless in your eyes, far better to win the next election.

You penned that screed on election day. You didn;t have any hope that our country would get through these trying times, or that he'd keep America safe, or even that the American people would be able to recover from all the debt, collpase and uncertainty. No, the sum and total of your nihilistic platform is that the President be killed as soon as possible.

You're a malicious idiot, Lather. Thanks for expressing yourself in paragraph form. It's a rare treat. I just don't buy it.

/Cliff notes: Bush earned our Scorn, y'all have been in scorn of Obama from day -300, and your creativity has only gone as far as pickeing hatchets.

//Look forward to posting that chimp next time, clown.

Yeah, because the cost of the wars don't dwarf all of asshat Obama's spending. right.
Also, what is the point of this caricature? aren't they supposed to sort of poke fun at the actual shape of the person...are Obama's ears really that fucking big? I'm going to have to look into this...

Obama's related to Dumbo?

[identity profile] stout-john.livejournal.com 2009-09-10 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
What do you want him to say? Don't stay in school, don't get a good job, and don't question nonsensical political cartoons?

[identity profile] fayanora.livejournal.com 2009-09-10 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Democrats are not supposed to look like Dumbo. Dumbo was an elephant. Dumbo is a Republican.

I don't think you could have made a more racist and insulting image of the President if you'd drawn him with fat red lips and had him munching on watermelon and fried chicken.

Stay in school. Work hard.

Obama said it. Therefore it must be wrong.

This is the logic, right?
