Compromise does not care whether something is evil and/or stupid. Compromise is, you come to the table, I come to the table, proposals and counter-proposals are put down, and a median between the two are found. Besides that, what you consider to be evil and/or stupid is subjective, not objective.
When one side is objectively right and the other is objectively wrong, compromise is objectively wrong. And when the difference is subjective, compromise is merely a strategy for maximizing your success. Compromise should never be an ideal or end in itself, as you seem to consider it.

*shrugs* Then don't compromise. You only have to live with the other people. If you think you'll live with them better by ordering them to be obedient to your dictates rather than compromising, have at it. I don't think you'll have the success you desire.
